The Best Korean Quick Meal Combo: CJ Bibim Naengmyeon + Pulmuone Flat Dumplings

Spring is here. Even though I haven’t fully felt the season—working from home and dealing with unusually cool weather—I can tell because my appetite has slightly dropped. At lunchtime especially, I find myself craving something bold and flavorful instead of regular rice dishes.

Eating out has gotten expensive these days, and doing it too often isn’t great for the waistline either. So, I often reach for quick meals. Among them, one combo stood out as the best: CJ Bibim Naengmyeon with Pulmuone Flat Dumplings. Add some sliced cucumber, a boiled egg, and crushed seaweed, and you’ve got a perfect harmony.

Soft and chewy noodles, paired with a sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy sauce. It comes with sesame seeds and dried seaweed flakes. At first, I thought the sauce might be too sweet or too strong, but it was surprisingly mild and well-balanced—even for someone like me who can’t handle spicy food well. Growing up, I used to mix sugar into my cold noodles with my grandmother, so this flavor felt just right.

How to make it:

  1. Boil 800ml of water.

  2. While the water is boiling, separate the noodles (don’t toss them in as a lump).

  3. Cook for about 1 minute while stirring gently.

  4. Rinse thoroughly in cold water and drain well. Rub the noodles until they’re no longer slippery.

  5. Put the noodles in a bowl and mix with the included sauce.

  6. Add the sesame and seaweed toppings. Garnish with a boiled egg, cucumber, or extra seaweed if you like—it makes a big difference!

Flat dumplings are originally a specialty from Daegu. When I was a student teacher in that region, I remember trying them from a food cart nearby and falling in love. Now I can find them in the freezer section of my local store. When I spotted them, I grabbed a pack right away. As I prepared the naengmyeon, I realized how perfectly these dumplings would go with it—and I was right.

How to cook:

No need to defrost. Just cook straight from the freezer.

In a frying pan:

  1. Heat a pan with 3 tbsp of oil.

  2. Fry the dumplings on both sides until golden and crispy (about 5 minutes).

In an air fryer:

  1. Preheat to 180°C for 2 minutes.

  2. Cook the dumplings for 12–13 minutes.

The result is golden, crispy dumplings full of savory flavor. You can go oil-free with the air fryer or enjoy a fried texture in a pan.

The Result?

I’ve tried plenty of packaged meals, but this combo genuinely surprised me. The slightly sweet and refreshing cold noodles paired with savory, crispy dumplings—it’s a match made in heaven. Especially if you’re not a fan of overly spicy food, I highly recommend this combination.

My second favorite lately? “Yukkal”—Bibigo beef soup + Ottogi fresh kalguksu noodles. I’ll introduce that next time!

What Is the ChatGPT 'Library'? Here's How to Use It!

A glimpse into my ChatGPT Library — a handy space where all my uploaded files are stored for reuse.

What Is the ChatGPT 'Library'? Here's How to Use It!

I’ve been using ChatGPT more and more lately. Even though I’ve been blogging for quite a while, I mostly just wrote and published posts—never really diving deep into tech or tools. I didn’t know where to ask questions, so I always turned to Google… and even then, it was hard to find exactly what I needed.

But things changed when I started using ChatGPT. No complicated explanations needed—just a single screenshot, and it gets it. It feels like having a private tutor by my side.

Then one day, I wondered: Where are all the files I uploaded? Is there a storage limit?

That's when I noticed something new at the top of the left sidebar—a “Library” tab. Curious, I clicked it… and there they were! All the screenshots and files I’d uploaded before.

Today, I’d like to share what the ChatGPT Library is, and how to organize it for smarter use.

What Is the ChatGPT Library?

Simply put, the ChatGPT Library is a place where all the files you’ve uploaded are stored.

I usually upload screenshots to help explain things, and all of those get saved neatly into this library. You can also upload PDFs, images, spreadsheets, and documents to ask questions or get summaries.

What’s great is—you can reuse previously uploaded files anytime. No need to re-upload!

Practical Use Cases

Ever had a moment while chatting with ChatGPT when you thought, “Wait, I showed this before…”? Instead of digging through your computer, just grab the file from your ChatGPT Library and go!

This feature can be super helpful—especially if you’re using ChatGPT as a productivity tool. For instance, you could upload resources in advance and simply say:

“Analyze the ‘keyword_list.xlsx’ file in my library.”

Here are some ideas:

  • An Excel sheet with blog keywords

  • A reusable recipe template

  • Reference images or design sketches

📌 How to Access Files in Your Library

  • By file name – e.g., “Summarize the content of recipe.pdf”

  • By link – Right-click the file in your library > Copy link address > Paste it

  • Do NOT paste the file itself again – it creates duplicates

Keeping It Clean: File Organization Tips

It’s a good idea to regularly delete files you no longer need. Otherwise, your library gets cluttered and it's harder to find what matters.

To delete a file:

  1. Click Library in the sidebar

  2. Click the three dots (···) next to the file

  3. Choose Delete

But keep in mind: deleted files can't be recovered. So double-check before removing anything important.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

While using the Library is super convenient, remember—this is still cloud storage. A few important notes:

1. Be Careful with Sensitive Info

Cloud storage is flexible and secure to an extent, but it’s still someone else’s computer. No system is 100% safe. There’s always a small risk of hacking, glitches, or unauthorized access.

So: Avoid uploading personal data or sensitive information.

2. It’s Not Permanent Storage

Files in the ChatGPT Library are not guaranteed to stay forever. There’s no clearly stated expiration date, but OpenAI may delete old files at any time.

This means: Don’t rely on it as permanent storage or use it to host files linked on your blog.

Important or one-of-a-kind files should be saved somewhere else, like your computer, Google Drive, or Google Photos.

Use the Library for active files you’re currently working on—then move them elsewhere when you're done.

Final Thoughts

It might seem like a small update, but the ChatGPT Library can make your workflow a lot smoother. With just a little awareness and routine maintenance, it can become your own tiny digital workspace.

Quick Reminders

  1. Security – Don’t upload personal or sensitive files.

  2. Temporary Use Only – Don’t treat it like a permanent hard drive.

  3. Declutter Regularly – Clean out unused files now and then.

  4. Name Your Files Clearly – It helps when retrieving them later.
